I made it...

I'm in Valley Forge, PA at the Creating Keepsakes show!! The flights were uneventful, long but uneventful. I did get some reading done. Flying gives me the only opportunity I have to read. I told someone I feel like an adult again, I actually read a book for the first time early this summer on a flight. Hadn't read a book in over 5 years, since Emma was born. I LOVE Mary Higgins Clark books and usually read one on the flight out and one on the return flight. Gotta love feeling like an adult!!

Can't wait to get back home Sunday, I've got some upcomming class projects I want to share with you.

Have a fun weekend!!

I'm headed to the Creating Keepsakes show in Valley Forge, PA and you ask what's the good news???? I'll have INTERNET!!! YEAH!! WIRELESS INTERNET!!! Isn't it terrible I have to fly across the country to get wireless interenet, LOL!!

So, you all be good, I'll be checking in tomorrow while I'm waiting in the airports.

Drum roll please........It's time........ (think crop theme)

The theme for this years K.I.S.S. Crop-n-Shop Scrapook Event to be held November 9th and 10th, 2007 at Fairview Christian Church in Carthage, MO is............................................

"Lights, Camera, Scrapbook!!"

Think broadway, television, movies, theatre, etc. Anything that would be done on a stage (well, almost anything, ha!) Remember, we love to have it related to scrapbooking in some way. You can sing, dance, create costumes, perform a skit, comedy act, etc. whatever you hearts desire!! The prizes are going to be awesome this year!! So scrappers, get busy!! Let's see what you can do!

*First time scrappers with K.I.S.S. Crop-n-Shop this is an optional contest that you can participate in. You do NOT have to participate to have a fantastic time, heck it's a blast watching those that put on the show and it will not take away from our scrapping time!!

I've got lots more information about the crop that I'll post very soon so stay tuned, until then call your friends, your neighbors, your family and get your teams together!!

New Poll

Hi all, I'm trying to decide what type of welcome gift to get you girls this year for the November crop and well, I decided the best way to know what you all wanted would be to just ask. Last year we had those awesome Lazy Scrapper Totes so what would you like to have this year? Take the poll and share ideas here, now's the time to get what you want, LOL!!

I truly wished I could somehow get the words to these acts on here for you, you would be blown away!! They change the words to the songs to fit scrapping! When the evening was over there wasn't a dry eye in the house from our hysterical laughter and my sides hurt for days after!!

This year we will have a true auditorium complete with theatre seating, stage, lights and sound for the acts!! The best part, your family members can come in and watch if they like!! (Of course, they don't need to knowif you don't want them to!!! LOL!!!)

More pics of last years crop

Okay, so for those of you that have never attended a K.I.S.S. Crop-n-Shop Event you may think we are a bit crazy and well, I'll admit we are!! We have a BLAST!!! Each year, we have a contest where participants compete for great prizes. The contest is pretty open, they can dress in costume, dance, sing, recite poems, do skits, whatever they want to do to!! Last year had to be one of the best yet. Here are just a couple of the acts, I'll be posting more in the next few days. Enjoy and if you think the costumes are great, I wish there was a way to share some of the skits and songs that were performed!!

**NO, you do not have to be crazy like the girls in the pictures to attend and have fun at a K.I.S.S. event!! The contest is optional and it's great fun to watch!!!

We will be having this contest again this year so get busy scrappers!! I know what the prizes are and let's just say they are even bigger and better this year than last!! Approx. value for each team. $500.00!!

Crop for the Cure - Granby

Here's the group picture from our Crop for the Cure in Granby. With the help of all those pictured we were able to raise over $800.00 for the American Cancer Society and Mosley's Miracles Relay team!!
The beautiful girl kneeling on the front row is Tina Mosley. She has more strength than any grown adult I've ever met!! Tina has been fighting a very long battle with cancer and it's so wonderful to report that her last report was great!!
Thanks to all who helped us and be sure to check out our Crop for the Cure in Greenfield on October 13th. Registration is now open at http://www.kisscropnshop.com/.

Meet our "Chunky Monkey"

Meet my great nephew, Keyton. We babysat him yesterday for the first time, he's the perfect baby!! Never cried all day, whimpered a few times when he was hungry, that's it! Now why couldn't my kiddos have been like that? He LOVES to coo, babble and blow bubbles, just gotta love 'em!! Of course I'm loving on him and tell hubby, "maybe it wouldn't be sooo bad having another" and he says, "listen to that" and it's my teenager dishing out some major attitude. I quickly decided I'd just borrow when I need a fix, LOL!!!

Hope you had a great 7-7-07!! We spent it with friends at the guys 2nd annual fish fry. Good times!!

Excuse me!!

Did you get several emails from me yesterday, say 11 - 17? Sorry!! The mailing list provider I used sent me an email shortly after I sent mine out that they had a slight "burb" in the system and that anyone I sent an email to would likely get 11-17 copies of the email!! YIKES!!

I guess this means you all know about the Ribbon-Sale-a-Bration now, the August bus trip to Creating Keepsakes and my new blog site!!

Again, excuse me for the burb and have a great day!

Frustration!!

Okay, so this is silly but still frustrating!! I posted on the CK message board about the bus trip to Tulsa. I was sent a "warning" email that I am not allowed to advertise on their message board. HELLO? I'm taking a bus of 54 ladies to their show, to spend money at their show and I can't even mention the trip? From past experience the amount of money that you crazy (meant in a nice way) shoppers leave at their show is way, way, way more than the $55.00 I charge to take you all there, LOL!!! Now that's some crazy stuff!!

Thanks for letting me vent,
Shannon

Deal of the day!

Just passing along a great deal, http://www.onecreativebug.com/ is having a summer special with shipping only $1.00 on your entire purchase!! Can't beat that and they have the coolest titles, paper piecings and the much talked about clear albums. You know the ones being talked about on twopeas and creating keepsakes message boards. Happy shopping and if you try the albums, be sure to post them when completed!!

You've got to see this, http://twopeasinabucket.kaboose.com/pg.asp?gallery=1&cmd=display&layout_id=1186948. It's one of the clear albums I mentioned above, truly amazing!!! Made by Suzy of Monday Morning Memories, it makes me crazy that mine hasn't arrived yet!! Stalking the mailman begins now!!!

Loving life,
Shannon

Look what I found today

I was clearing out my card for my digital camera today and found some really cute pictures taken by my five year old. I have no idea when she got my camera but the pictures are pretty cool!! The one of Blue's Clues was a picture of our tv while the show was on, the Dora was a picture of her blanket and the bottom one is a self picture. Pretty clever, huh? I didn't edit these at all, they are the way she took them, LOL!! I've got to get some photo paper and will print these out to make a page from her point of view.

Loving life,

Shannon
